TESTIMONIALS
"Just wanted to drop you all an email to say thank you so much for seeing us at short notice. You saved me from a nervous breakdown! Two days after the procedure in the clinic everything was normal! And the cuts were healed with that prescription cream in no time. I couldn't believe how quickly things changed and breastfeeding is now going well at last! You have a wonderful set up there, you may be far from Kerry but I'd travel anytime for that level of care we received from the minute we met the receptionist we felt at ease there."

"Karl and myself would like to thank you for all of your help with baby Charlotte on Friday night. Charlotte has been really settled since Friday and seems to be getting the hang of things! Slowly but surely! You, Kate, Claire and the team made us feel very much at ease, which isn't easy with first time parents!! We really appreciate the time that was given to us and the knowledge and experience that you all have. We would not hesitate to recommend your clinic and wish you all the best in the future."

"We would just like to say a very big thank for your help, expertise and advise. We saw you in July and again on Sept 2nd with our son Eóin. Since you revised the tongue tie a second time he has come on in leaps and bounds. He is much happier and more settled in himself. We've left behind the worry and frustration caused by his total refusal to eat, and are now really enjoying watching his growing enjoyment of food!
Before the revision he drank hardly anything from a cup or a bottle and refused to eat anything at all. He now drinks about a 400ml from a zippy cup while I'm at work. He's eating three small meals a day and is enjoying his finger food. He just started to eat slightly lumpy food without gagging. It took about two weeks for the improvement to come and he has a bit to go before he is eating enough but we are over the moon with the progress he has made. It's a pleasure to watch him eat now."

"We just wanted to give you an update on how our daughter is doing. It is almost four weeks since her tongue tie procedure. Once the soreness subsided she was in great form and really content. She does not mind us massaging the wound and seems to see the other exercises as a fun game. Her tongue is visibly more flexible now. Her feeding has improved. She was having short feeds every one to two hours. Now she is having feeds every two to three hours and usually has a gap of five hours between feeds at one point during the night. Her latch is deeper and she feeds for longer now. We would like to thank you all for your professional and friendly service, including follow up after the procedure. A child requiring any kind of surgery is upsetting for a parent. But your welcoming clinic, friendly and professional team and general positivity made it easier than we thought possible. I would have no hesitation in recommending your service to a family member or friend."

"Dr Roche and your phenomenal team.
What more can I say, other than you have changed my life and saved my mental health.
Tadhg is 5 months old now and 3 months post procedure.
Tadhg was diagnosed with reflux at 2 weeks old. He vomited after most feeds and always seemed to be in pain, or what I thought to be pain during a feed. He never latched on to the bottle properly. We made numerous trips to different GPs and ended up in the hospital a couple of times where he was assessed. I was told "reflux" over and over. I couldn't understand why nobody asked to see him feed. The fact that he couldn't latch on or stay latched on to the bottle must have something to do with it I thought. I queried tongue tie after doing a lot of research. Again, this was dismissed over and over by different health professionals. I was at a loss. It was through my research that I discovered the National Tongue Tie Centre in Clonmel. I made an appointment to see Dr.roche. The minute I stepped foot inside the clinic I was made to feel at ease. From the receptionist Michelle who was so welcoming and friendly, to the lactation consultant Agnes who was extremely knowledgeable. I was immediately impressed. Then, Dr.Roche himself introduced himself to me and assessed my little boy. He diagnosed him with a posterior tongue tie and a severe lip tie. I felt a weight lift off my shoulders straight away. Finally, somebody who knows what they are talking about. I was, and still am to this day completely blown away by Dr Roche's wealth of knowledge on the subject. The procedure was carried out in a different room and he was brought back in to me after about 10 minutes.
However, over the course of the following week Tadhg appeared to go downhill with his feeding. His volumes decreased substantially. He didn't want a bottle near him. He screamed each time. Even getting him into the feeding position or putting a bib on him caused him a huge amount of distress. The only time he would take a bottle was when he was asleep. That following weekend, he ended up being admitted to hospital dehydrated and losing weight. An NG tube was fitted to ensure he was getting adequate nutrition. This continued for the week and I was heartbroken. He was suspected to have CMPA. I couldn't understand this as he didn't show any symptoms of an allergy apart from refusal to feed. He was discharged a week later on nutramigen formula to trial for 2 weeks. Unsurprisingly, he made no improvement so I switched him to Hipp Organic. Weight gain was very slow each week. It wasn't until I broke down to Dr.Roche on Tadhg's discharge day from clonmel that he realised something wasn't quite right. He diagnosed Tadhg with a feeding/bottle aversion due to the trauma of the procedure and being pressured to feed. Generously, he told me to bring Tadhg to him each week to be weighed. He didn't want to discharge him until he was 100%. I was overwhelmed and so relieved. I was continuously supported by the wonderful Amanda each week who showed me how to pace feed and weighed Tadhg. We took the no pressure feeding approach and let him take the lead which was difficult to do as when he was admitted to hospital I was advised to get as many ounces into him as possible even if that meant syringing him. It was beyond stressful and my mental health took a massive hit. I was bordering PND again. Again, I cant praise Amanda enough who I think saw this in me and supported me no end to get us through this. I am forever grateful.
Tadhg continued to show improvements week by week. His latch has improved 100%. Today, he is demolishing 5-6oz bottles and has roughly 26-30oz a day. And the best part is, he looks forward to his bottles and now has lots of chubby leg rolls. What more could a mammy want! He is the most happy, content and smiley baby who is meeting all his milestones.
I honestly cannot thank you enough for everything you've done for our family, there are not enough words. I hope you all have a wonderful new year."

"I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for the excellent care my daughter Ella and I received at your clinic back in July.
Ella had been diagnosed with the 'least serious form' of tongue tie previously yet could not latch on at all. This was deeply distressing for me and we went through 3 weeks of exclusively pumping and a lot of tears. To say I was devastated was an understatement. Breastfeeding was extremely important to me and to not be able to do it would have had a huge impact on my mental health, particularly with a history of postnatal depression.
It was only when my osteopath mentioned in passing about a 'guy in Tipperary' that a bit of hope was restored. I knew as soon as I researched Justin and looked at the website for The Tongue Tie Clinic that we would make the journey from Dublin to Tipperary.
Although on holiday, Justin read my emails and responded immediately. I cannot thank him enough for this...I was in tears constantly and needed some reassurance.
As soon as we walked into the clinic I knew we were in good hands. What a lovely, clean and relaxing environment for any nervous parent to arrive at. From the minute we walked in, to the moment we left we received the best care. All of the lactation consultants, the physiotherapist and Justin himself were so friendly and helpful.
I know that not everybody agrees with doing the revision on tongue ties and in Ella's case, the lip tie. But without it we would not be breastfeeding today. I am happy to say 2 weeks after the procedure Ella latched on and we are feeding away. And I am forever grateful. Thank you for all of your research into an area that not a lot of people seem to be knowledgeable about.
